Moderated chat introduces a series of tools aimed at providing the site administrator with the ability to assign limited powers to discussion moderators and guest speakers. Discussion moderators control the pace and flow of the conversation while site visitors may only pose questions to the moderator (and private message amongst themselves), thereby shielding the Guest Speaker from unruly or repetitive questions or comments. This is the moderator interface. Questions posed by your site visitors are automatically placed in the moderated queue.
Once a moderator clicks on a question, he/she has the option to send the question back to the user, to all users or to the guest speaker. The moderator may also add a comment with any question that he/she forwards.
The Guest Speaker interface looks similar to the moderator interface with the same question queue. Clicking on any question (that was forwarded by the moderator), allows the Guest Speaker to answer that particular question and send that answer back into the room or to that individual user.
